The Taylor Swift Book Tag

This tag is right up my alley, because it is about one of my most favourite female artists. So thank you very much to Kate @ Read and Dream: My Book Life for tagging me. Go check out her post!
Let's get started:

1. We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together – pick a book or series that you were pretty sure you were in love with, but then wanted to break up with.
The Mortal Instrument Series. Oh, what else can I say about this series. The first 3 were great, but it all went downhill from there for me.

2. Red – pick a book with a RED cover.
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. I just love this series so much.

3. The Best Day – pick a book that makes you feel nostalgic.
Pride and Prejudice by: Jane Austen
Such a classic book that I will never get tired of.

4. Love Story – pick a book with forbidden love.
Paper Towns by: John Green
Quentin and Margo's relationship was very complicated. Things that I expected to happen, sadly didn't. That's what makes this book so amazing though; it's different.

5. I Knew You Were Trouble – pick a book with a bad character you couldn't help but love.
This was a tough one... there are very few bad characters whom I did like. I think I would have to say Luke Castellan from the Percy Jackson series. There was something very mysterious about him, and he wasn't all bad in the beginning.

6. Innocent  – pick a book that someone ruined the ending for.
ALLEGIANT. Sorry for type-shouting, but this was so annoying. Who on earth would reveal a HUGE plot twist to you before asking first?! I still think about it.

7. Everything Has Changed – pick a character from a book who goes through extensive character development.
I would say that Hazel from The Fault in Our Stars evolved amazingly throughout the book. She went from being upset with the world for her illness, and ended up learning to live her life to the fullest.

8. You Belong With Me – pick your most anticipated book release.
I Was Here by: Gayle Forman. This book looks so emotional, but I really need another Gayle Forman book in my life.

9. Forever and Always – pick your favourite book couple.
Again, such a tough decision! But it would have to be Tris and Tobias from the Divergent series because they're so brave and a really strong couple. They've been through so much.

10. Come Back, Be Here – pick the book you would least like to lend out, for fear of missing it too much.
My Harry Potter books because my mom got them when they first came out, so they've all got the original covers, and are still in great condition. I would be too scared lending them out for fear of something happening to them!

So that's it! Thanks again to Kate for tagging! I would like to tag the following people to post if they wish :)

Erica @ Books4ev

And anyone else who would like to do the post.

Bye for Now!

  2. Yay for Taylor Swift! I really enjoy her music and it's cool to find another bookworm and fan:) I am also absolutely hesitant when it comes to lending out my Harry Potter books, I'm too afraid of losing or damaging them. I loved Tris and Tobias, too, and I had a love/hate relationship with the Mortal Instruments. Thanks for sharing, Emily, and I'd love to hear from you on Twitter if you want me to drop a message:)

  4. I just found your blog and it seems really good!

What you said about The Mortal Engines is really interesting. I haven't read that series yet but loads of people love, yet seemingly an equal amount of people seem to think that it goes rapidly downhill near the end, so I don't really know whether to give it a go or not, especially seeing as I don't read a huge amount of YA.

I also know the ending of Alleigant, I think everyone does at this point. I can definitely feel your pain. I had a bunch of major character deaths in Breaking Bad spoiled for me but I still managed to adore the show regardless (and to be honest most of them you could definitely see coming).

    1. Thanks for stopping by, Killian! Yes the mortal instruments wasn't the best series in my opinion towards the end, it became really slow. However if you like fantasy, then it think that it would be pretty enjoyable all the way through. Spoilers are the worst, aren't they?!

    2. Spoilers really are awful. The worst thing is, I spoiled most of Breaking Bad for myself. I was watching some video about the best moments in it, even though I still had a season to go. That was a bad idea.

  5. YES! I did this one too today!

I love so many of your pics [particularily the HP ones]

Also TMI was just FINISHED for me. I was completely done with the series after like the third book. I'm probably going to end up buying the second series from Costco or something but still. At least right now I can enjoy my freedom.

    Great picks :)

    1. Thanks for stopping by! :) I'm really trying to convince myself to like TMI, but I need to realize that it's just not going to happen.
