Month in Review: March

It's spring! I have missed the sun so much and I hope that I won't have to deal with winter for a long time. Now if only my allergies will hold up *sighs*

What I Read:

Lullabies for Little Criminals by: Heather O'Neill: 5/5 stars
The Iliad by: Homer: 4/5 stars
The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-time Indian by: Sherman Alexie: 5/5 stars
The Unexpected Everything by: Morgan Matson: 1/5 stars
The Night Circus by: Erin Morgenstern: 4/5 stars

What I Blogged:

I feel like this was the month of reviews! I have been really behind on reviewing and have been posting reviews of books I read months ago, so I've been busy! I guess I could say my favourite was my review of Station Eleven, because well, you know why by now.

Favourite Blog Posts of the Month:

Cee explains why The Earth is Blue.
Lais discusses DNF'ed Books.
Mishma interviews Angie Thomas.
Charlotte shows her Bullet Journal.

Life Stuff of the Month:

I went to New York!! There were so many amazing things I saw and I think I'm gonna do a whole post on it, because there were a lot of new things I learnt about the city that I think are important for tourists to know, so stay tuned for that!

Other than that, I'm back at school after March Break. Things are starting to pick up and prom is looming, something that my introverted self is just too stressed over.

That's it! How was your month?

  1. Ooh I'd love to see a post about New York! I've never really wanted to go there as it's so intimidating to me, but I think a post with tips would be really helpful, especially as I think my mum would like to visit. :) I never even went to my prom at school and I don't feel like I missed out as I didn't like school or that type of party and don't speak to anyone from then anyway. It just depends on you as a person really, and a lot of stuff happens at the after parties anyway. Thanks for mentioning my post, too! Glad you liked it :)

    1. I found it quite intimidating, but as long as you know where you're going and how to get there, it's really an amazing city! I think I'm the opposite when it comes to prom. While I'm not really looking forward to it at all, I think I'd rather take the actual event than the after party because house parties are so intimidating to me and I don't think I'd feel comfortable at all.

  3. Thanks for remembering of my post, Em!
I've been to NY last year and it really is an enchanting city. As someone who grew up watching TV shows like Gossip Girl, I was stoked to visit and see all the settings from up close. My favorite neighbourhood was, definitely, Upper East Side. I felt so fancy walking down those streets! I also really liked visiting Brooklyn; the view from Brooklyn Bridge is definitely stunning!
I hope you have a fantastic April :)

  4. Wow! I can't believe you've been to New York and I'm still here sitting on the other side of the world dreaming of it. Must've been a great trip. New York is one of the only places in the US I feel really compelled to visit.
Glad you enjoyed The Night Circus, I thought it was straight up brilliant.
    Wishing you a fabulous April!

  7. I MISSED YOUR POSTS SO MUCH- and the blame is solely on me. I've been so caught up with uni stuff that I haven't bloghopped AT ALL the past few weeks. Hell, even the blogposts that I wrote were last-minute stuff I typed up on the day they were supposed to go live. I've been terribly awful ugh. April would be slightly better, hopefully? I hope anyway, but this year overall is just going to be meh.
You read the Absolute True Diary!!!!!!! I read it last December for Diversity Bingo and I just lovvvvvved it- I'm glad to see you seem to have too! And I totes want to see your post on New York. I'm not sure if I'll ever get to go there, but I've been wanting to for SO LONG. When's prom? Good luck with it! :D xx
