Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme from The Broke and The Bookish that allows users to share their top choices of the topic of the week!
This is the hardest post to write. I know I've left some amazing authors out, but here are my favourite authors:
1. J.K. Rowling
Why? Because Harry Potter. That's why.
2. John Green
His writing is just one word: beautiful
3. Robyn Schneider
She's hilarious in her writing and she teaches amazing lessons.
4. Rainbow Rowell
Eleanor and Park made me laugh, cry and everything in between.
5. Gayle Forman
Not only did she create the amazing If I Stay, but she also got me obsessed with a fictional band.
6. Lauren Oliver
She was one of the first YA authors I ever read from, and her Delirium trilogy was captivating.
7. Veronica Roth
I can't even put into words how much the Divergent trilogy means to me.
8. Rick Riordan
I went through a huge Percy Jackson phase, and his characters never fail to make me smile.
9. Stephen Chbosky
The Perks of Being a Wallflower impacted me in a way that I will never forget.
10. Jenny Han
She's amazing at writing contemporary books and there hasn't been a single book from her that I didn't love.
Who are some of your favourite authors?
Emily @ Paperback Princess
Ooh, you've got some good authors up there. If I had made a list for this a few years ago, Riordan would DEFINITELY have been on it (I'm not sure he still would just because I've fallen so far behind). John Green is pretty up there too. I didn't make a list this week ;)
ReplyDelete~ Liza @ Classy Cat Books
Thanks for stopping by! Riordan and Green have been favourites for years for me!
DeleteNo one shall ever tire from reading J.K. Rowling's books!!! THEY ARE TOO BEAUTIFUL <3 I just love J.K. Rowling so much, she literally tops my lists of all-time favorite authors :) I also like Rainbow Rowell as well and Jenny Han. Great list! I like half the other authors you put here, like Veronica Roth!
ReplyDeleteJillian @ Jillian's Books
Thanks Jillian! J.K. Rowling is honestly the best!
DeleteHooray for JK Rowling! Even if I haven't finished the entire Harry Potter series yet, I can definitely see why a lot of people really look up to her. :) I have a love/hate relationship with John Green's writing, but I love how he can always find a way to make a reader cry! I also have a love/hate relationship with Rainbow Rowell's writing, but I loved Fangirl! I didn't love If I Stay, but Where She Went was super amazing. I've read three Lauren Oliver books and unfortunately didn't like any of them. :( Not a huge Divergent fan either, sadly. BUT RICK RIORDAN YES. He's my idol, and the Percy Jackson books will always be my favorites! <3 I DNFed Perks. D: Jenny Han's also a hit-or-miss for me. :(
ReplyDeleteSorry for the long comment! I tend to ramble. A lot.
Aimee @ Deadly Darlings
Haha thanks for stopping by! I ramble a lot too :) Harry Potter was such a good series, I hope you enjoy it! I also loved Where She Went much more than If I Stay, but I loved them both.
DeleteJK Rowling is queen, THAT IS ALL!!
ReplyDeleteRachel @ A Perfection Called Books
Haha she really is!
DeleteI actually wrote a letter to Rainbow Rowell and she sent back a hand written post card! It was really cool and surprising!
ReplyDeleteThat's amazing!
